LinkStacked

Part 15 — Trust & Safety

Reporting & Moderation

Our reporting system is how the community helps keep LinkStacked safe. Here is how it works and what to expect when you file a report.

01

Why reporting matters

No automated system catches everything. Our trust and safety team relies on the community to surface content that violates our policies — especially content that is harmful to individuals (harassment, doxxing, NCII) or to visitors (malicious links, fraud, impersonation).

Every report is reviewed by a human. We do not auto-remove content based on report volume alone.

02

What you can report

You can report:

  • Profiles — for impersonation, harassment, hate speech, prohibited content, or fraud
  • Individual links — for malware, phishing, scams, illegal content, or NSFW content not appropriately disclosed
  • Products — for counterfeit goods, IP infringement, fraudulent descriptions, or prohibited content
  • Images or bio content — for stolen photography, non-consensual intimate imagery, or doxxing

For copyright infringement specifically, use our formal DMCA process described in the Copyright, IP & DMCA Policy.

03

How to report

From a public profile (profile report)

On any public LinkStacked profile, click the "···" menu (More options) → "Report profile". Select the most applicable reason and optionally add additional context. You do not need an account to submit a report.

Reporting a specific link

Some link types display a "Report link" option accessible via a right-click or long-press. If not visible, use the profile report form and specify the link URL in the additional context field.

Email reports

For sensitive reports (non-consensual intimate imagery, active child safety concerns, detailed fraud evidence) you can email us directly:

For URGENT matters (active CSAM, imminent threat to someone's safety), include "URGENT" in the subject line. We escalate these immediately.

04

What happens after you report

  1. Your report is logged and assigned a reference number. You receive an email confirmation (if you provided an email address).
  2. A member of our trust and safety team reviews the report. We consider the report content, the profile, any prior reports, and applicable policies.
  3. We may request additional evidence from the reporter or reach out to the reported creator for context.
  4. We make a determination: no action, content removal, account restriction, or account termination.
  5. The reported creator is notified if action is taken, including the general reason. Reporter identity is not disclosed.
  6. If we take no action, we may notify the reporter with a brief explanation (we aim to do this for all reports, but cannot guarantee it for all volume).
05

Review timelines

Report categoryTarget review time
CSAM / imminent physical dangerWithin 1 hour (24/7)
Active malware link / phishingWithin 4 hours
Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII)Within 24 hours
Impersonation of a public figure or brand3 business days
Harassment, hate speech, doxxing3 business days

Timelines are targets, not guarantees. High report volume or complexity may extend review. We prioritise based on severity.

06

Contesting a moderation decision

If your content or account was actioned

If your content was removed, your account restricted, or your account suspended, you will receive a notification email with the reason and — in most cases — an appeal link. You can also initiate an appeal by emailing legal@linkstacked.com with subject line "Moderation Appeal — [your username]" within 30 days of the enforcement action.

Include: your username, the content actioned, your understanding of what policy was applied, and any evidence that the decision was made in error.

We review appeals within 5 business days. Our decision on appeal is final, except where you have a statutory right to further review under applicable law.

What cannot be appealed

  • Permanent terminations for CSAM
  • Permanent terminations for confirmed large-scale financial fraud
  • Actions taken in compliance with a valid court order or law enforcement directive
07

False & abusive reports

We consider the following to be abusive reporting:

  • Filing multiple reports against the same creator with no new evidence, in an attempt to trigger automated or expedited review
  • Coordinating with others to mass-report a creator
  • Filing copyright or IP reports you know to be baseless as a suppression tactic
  • Misrepresenting your identity or standing in a report to gain credibility

Abusive reporting may result in restrictions on your ability to submit future reports and, in serious cases, enforcement action against your account.

08

Law enforcement requests

We respond to valid legal process from government authorities in accordance with German law and applicable international agreements. For law enforcement agencies:

  • All requests must be accompanied by a valid court order, official letter from the requesting agency, or formal legal instrument
  • Emergency disclosure requests (risk to life) must be submitted via email to legal@linkstacked.com with subject line "Emergency Legal Request" and include the relevant legal authority basis
  • We will notify the affected user of a data request except where prohibited by law (e.g. under a non-disclosure order)
  • We do not provide law enforcement backdoor access to user accounts or data without a legal basis

For the data retention periods applicable to law enforcement requests, see the Privacy Policy.
