Retargeting pixels let you show ads to people who have already visited your link page. Since these visitors are already warm leads, they convert at much higher rates than cold audiences.
How it works
A retargeting pixel is a tiny piece of JavaScript from an ad platform (Meta, TikTok, Google) that fires on your link page. It drops a cookie on the visitor's browser. Later, when that person is scrolling their feed, the ad platform can show them your ad.
Supported pixels
- Meta Pixel — for Facebook and Instagram ads.
- TikTok Pixel — for TikTok ads.
- Google Tag / Google Ads — for YouTube, Search, and Display ads.
- Pinterest Tag — for Pinterest ads.
- Snap Pixel — for Snapchat ads.
Adding a pixel
- 1Go to your ad platform (e.g. Meta Business Suite → Events Manager).
- 2Create a new pixel and copy your Pixel ID (a long number).
- 3In LinkStacked, go to Dashboard → Pixels.
- 4Select the platform, paste your Pixel ID, and click Save.
You don't need to run ads immediately. Adding the pixel now starts building your audience list. An audience built over months is far more valuable than one you start from scratch.
Privacy and cookie consent
When pixels are active, LinkStacked automatically displays a cookie consent banner to visitors. This ensures compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations. Visitors who decline are not tracked.
Testing your pixel
Install the Meta Pixel Helper or TikTok Pixel Helper browser extension to verify your pixel is firing correctly. You should see a green checkmark when you visit your public profile page.
